PREMIER INN GATWICK AIRPORT NORTH TERMINAL

20130920 184050a webThis 630-room, 12-floor hotel sits opposite Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal and is the largest Premier Inn in the UK. From above you can see that the building is a quarter-circle shape with an inner courtyard, so comprised of curved and flat elevations.

The ProRend EIFS external wall insulation system was installed over the blockwork of the inner courtyard, following the unusual shape.

IDEAL INSULATION

The mineral fibre insulation chosen has excellent thermal conductivity and serves as a fire barrier, dual properties perfect for the standards of this high-capacity hotel. The ProRend Colourtex render gives a low maintenance finish with high durability. The seamless walls give the open space a bright and airy feel that brings light to the inner-facing windows.

COMPLETE SYSTEM SOLUTION

This combination of insulant and render finish in the ProRend EIFS system allows the building to meet stringent fire, sound and thermal regulations and makes this hotel a flagship of the Whitbread’s Premier Inn chain.

PREMIER INN AND BEEFEATER IN WEYMOUTH

DSC 0092webSet just two miles from the beach, this new build Premier Inn and Beefeater needed some premier protection from exposure on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset. For this timber frame construction ProWall rainscreen cladding system met the exacting requirements for these national Whitbread brands.

A ventilated cavity allows the buildings to breathe and protects the substrate from rain and airborne moisture. The system includes a premium render coating that protects the structures from driving rain, an advanced render carrier board, and ventilation beads to the top of the system under the soffits and at the base.

Intumescent strips at each floor level will seal the cavity in the event of fire, and the render carrier board meets all fire regulations, making the system an ideal choice for hotels and multi-occupancy buildings.

LOW MAINTENANCE FINISH

Finished with ProRend Colourtex, a silicone thin coat render that is available in a range of colours and textures, this has a highly water resistant finish and can be maintained by pressure washing. The ProWall system is covered by a BBA certificate for up to 60 years of durability.
