Description/ Useage- ProRend Colourtex Uniform is a ready mixed silicone based finish. It is a textured finish that has excellent weather, scratch and knock resistant qualities. Maintenance is minimal.
Colour-

Application-  
Site Work- Scaffolding must be independently tied, to allow uninterrupted application. Any faults must be rectified.
Site Conditions- Do not apply when substrate/ air temperature is below 5oC or above 30oC. Protect areas before and after application.
Substrates-

Apply to primed, new or old substrates.

Externally- Apply to suitably smooth and flat surfaces of cement based rendering, fair faced concrete, exterior grade composition and cement boards. ProRend float is the recommended substrate.

Internally- smooth, flat plasters, gypsum finishing plasters, dry lining, plywood and suitable insulating boards.

Preparation- Remove old, dusty, dirty and loose plaster and paint layers. Remove grease, dirt and organic growths.
Render Application- It is essential that ProRend Colourtex Uniform is mixed before use. Add a maximum of 2% water and mix thoroughly. An electric hand mixer should be used to achieve good workability. It should be applied by an applicator with experience with this type of product. A tight coat of material is applied using a stainless steel hawk and trowel. Do not interrupt application until a complete section is finished. After ~10-30 minutes, depending on the drying conditions, the material is finished.
Coverage-

Coverage will depend upon the surface being coated. As a general guide- 1.5mm thick, coverage is ~6-6.5 m2 per bucket.

Curing/ Drying- 48-72 Hours. Protect from unfavourable weather conditions.
Protection- Cover parts which do not have to be treated with paper and tape. Remove directly after applying the primer.
Cleaning-

All equipment must be cleaned immediately after use with water. Waste material should not be emptied into any drainage system.

Storage-

Store in cool, dry conditions at a temperature greater than 5oC. Protect from sunlight and direct heat. The container should be kept closed when not in use and do not stack more than four containers high.

Characteristics- Resists the penetration of rain water, it has excellent weather resistance and durability, whilst allowing the structure to breathe.
Composition- Fine natural and special coloured aggregates in a silicone binder give excellent adhesion and weatherproofing. It contains effective biocides to help preserve its attractive appearance.
